ASSISTANCE DOG TRAINING

What do we do?

Led by qualified assistance dog trainer Lauren, we tailor each training session to meet the unique needs of your dog. At Canine Refined, we believe in a collaborative approach, ensuring that both trainer and client work together to determine the best fit for your dog. Our friendly yet professional service is dedicated to helping your canine companion achieve their full potential.

  • At Canine Refined, we focus on desensitising puppies, building basic behaviour, and establishing strong training foundations for future success as assistance dogs. Our tailored sessions address each puppy’s unique needs. We work closely with you to ensure your puppy becomes confident and well-behaved, ready to support you in everyday life. Our friendly, professional approach ensures a positive experience for both you and your puppy.

  • At Canine Refined, we train assistance dogs to perform essential tasks that help manage disabilities. Our customized sessions teach dogs skills like retrieving items, opening doors, pressure therapy, medical alerts and much more! We collaborate with you to tailor the training to your specific needs, ensuring your dog becomes a reliable partner in daily life. Our friendly, professional approach guarantees a positive training experience for both you and your dog.

  • At Canine Refined, we provide comprehensive public access training for your assistance dog. We work in both pet-friendly and non-pet-friendly environments to ensure your dog meets legal standards. Our training prepares your dog for real-world scenarios, gradually building up to a Public Access Test (PAT). Our friendly, professional approach guarantees your dog is well-prepared to support you confidently in any setting.

  • For clients outside our trainers' travel zone, we offer online training! These clients will receive the same resources and support as our in-person clients. Training sessions will be conducted via video call, and clients can submit video content for feedback. Detailed training reports will be provided to track progress.

Please note: Public Access Tests and Mock Public Access Tests cannot be completed via video and must be done in person. Clients using online services will need to complete five video sessions with our trainer in addition to the initial consultation.
