PUBLIC ACCESS TESTING
What do we do?
Lauren offers comprehensive Public Access Tests (PATs) for assistance dogs, assessing their ability to accompany handlers in public spaces. PATs evaluate the dog’s behavior, obedience, and ability to perform tasks crucial for assisting individuals with disabilities. These tests ensure adherence to legal standards and safety protocols across diverse environments such as shops, public transport, and restaurants. The attachment illustrates the test steps, highlighting our commitment to preparing dogs to navigate real-world challenges with competence and reliability.
Lauren is also an ACT registered assistance animal trainer and assessor and is able to conduct the ACT Public Access Test.
Please note: Public Access Tests and Mock Public Access Tests cannot be completed via video and must be done in person. Clients using online services will need to complete five video sessions with our trainer in addition to the initial consultation.
